What do I have to do if I want to work for the Lifestyle Team?

  • You submit an application to the state of Carinthia.
  • You come to our workshop for an interview.
  • You visit the workshop.
  • You ask your questions.
  • If it fits, we'll sign a contract with you.

What are we offering in return?

  • We offer you meaningful work, tailored to your skills and interests.
  • We offer you a working day with lunch and breaks.
  • You can learn many working techniques.
  • You can learn how to use machines and devices.
  • You will learn how to make various objects or souvenirs.
  • You will receive a recognition contribution.

  • You can take part in project work: sustainability, healthy nutrition, road traffic and much more.
  • You can take part in workshops: personality development, language courses, spirituality and much more.
  • We support you with the journey to the workshop and home (organized transport service or public transport).

Living and leisure time at "Caritas: Team Lebensgestaltung"

Ein Gemeinschaftsraum in dem ein Tisch in der Mitte steht, dahinter ein Sofa und rechts zwei Sessel. Auf der rechten Seite steht ein Sitzsack. Alles steht vor der Tür zum Balkon in den schönen Garten.
  • Women and men live in the flat-sharing communities.
  • You have your own room.
  • You can design and furnish your room yourself.
  • Couples can live together.
  • You can invite guests.
  • You can visit friends.
  • You help around the house.
  • You can shop in the shops nearby.
  • You can take part in joint leisure activities.

What do I have to do if I want to live with Caritas?

  • You submit an application to the state of Carinthia.
  • You come to the house of your choice for an interview.
  • You visit the residential buildings or shared flats.
  • If it fits, we sign a contract.

What we do for you if you want or need it:

  • We support you in the household.
  • We will help you with personal hygiene.
  • We support you when visiting a doctor.
  • We organize therapy and further training for you.
  • We help you with money management.
  • We support you in dealing with the authorities.
  • We accompany you in your spirituality.
  • We accompany them to church services.
  • We organize your leisure time together with you.
  • We celebrate customary and Christian festivals together.

Self-representation

Die Selbstvereter*innen des Caritas: Team Lebensgestaltung mit Bereichsleiterin Erna Petek in der Caritas Zentrale bei der Vorstellung der neuen Selbstvertretung.

We have a self-advocate in every house and workshop who is the contact person for requests, concerns and complaints from colleagues. Discuss these with the site managers and take part in the job interviews. In this way, we want to actively involve the people we support in our work and enable them to have a say in their own decisions.
